enjoy my unorthdox otto. in a team game with a good shield for this strat is very tough to beat. lots abus or usefull 1v1 also just use minimal sheild and rest abus. micro the shield the bring em in to there death.

evryone is so wood trade, fur trade happy. i allways tend to trade early. its usually not the resources that i worry about.

Fur trade happy? I trade at 37 with india, and I never run out of food. So I don't see how that one really works... Iro shouldn't ever run out of food and neither should france.

i trade early because im not a trade whore and dont need 150k gold from india or 100k wood from ottos. add 100-150 pts to this if i did.

Fur at 37 with India is impossible in a real game, if you want to scout, have your army properly set up and positioned, fully upgraded and be able to switch to British consulate before 40, unless you made your entire army in advance. Over 100K coin with India is great though, because the longer you can avoid switching your villagers onto coin, the better.

yea u cant send that card on 37th minute, u just wont have the time to get everything done unless you have a team mate that isnt furtrading, in that situation you shud ask them for around 15K coin and get all upgrades and army, then you can send furtrade at like 39min

I was just making a general comment on your post, but I do agree that too much of something is possible. For example, I don't believe in outrageous wood trades with Ottoman/British/Dutch, it leaves you with too little food/coin to do a proper army and sustain it under pressure, which is just bad for you.

Overall, I think most people feel like rushing things with Ottomans by using "Boom" cards like 3 villagers, 700 wood/coin, etc because they feel as-if their aren't enough good Ottoman cards, but I honestly like the ability to maximise my army power at 40 with Ottoman, if you skip Engineering School it's perfectly possible to get Light Artillery HP (for a brutal 20% boost in HP for your Abus), AA and Riding School out by 40 (maybe more, I forget the exact number, it's either 3 or 4).

This assumes you exclude sending Church Tech, which can be really useful in a mirror or fighting large-army civilisations, but you could still just FB fast and pop back up after the first battle because of Battlefield Construction.

I dunno, I'd rather get 2-2.1K, have a sane food/wood/coin balance AND a better army off the bat, so I can really seal the deal with supped up Abus/Hussar than get 100-200 points more but weaken my army long-term.

For my 1st army that still wouldn't work, I gotta start de-allying consulate before I even send fur just to get out my army on time when I trade straight at 35.

Siege ele rushing is even easier. I always have time to get out my full army, all my ups and gendarmes.

but if youve gotta send 200K out to teammates.. u deffinatly wont have enough time if u trade at 37mins

try sending fur trade as india at 38:20 it's a lot of fun really
