| I see ofc, being 16 i wouldn't know music well i submit my opinions anyway -personally i never really likes Micheal Jackson, but i realize many people do. i could just never really appreciate someone who molests kids. -best band ever: i like the Beatles, but Queen, Journey or Led Zeppelin are good choices as well. alice in chains is good, but i dont really think theyre candidates for "best" band ever -and yes Tupac is the greatest rapper of all time. Eminems a close second tho. i hate some of the crappy rap that's got no meaning at all nowadays. like lil wayne. he used to be good too . | |

| age doesnt have anything to do wid knowing about music, my dad taught me all their is to know about old music and im sure alot of younger kids know too
and NO eminem is not the 2nd best rapper ever. i love eminem but naww and i doubt youve ever heard 1/4 of all the music he's ever put out , i wudnt even say tupac is the best.. and in my opinion rap is easily the best type of music as the lyrics actually MEAN SOMETHING about the struggles most people have been thru.. not the absolute CRAP love music singing about doves and how a butterfly landed on my finger..
main stream rap is mostly just hip/hop - it shudnt even be called rap but the real underground/gangster rap that nobody ever hears is the real quality stuff..

| Wu Tang Clan - RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa. Ol Dirty Bastard (Russell Tyrone Jones ) died 6 years ago ODB WAS THE best rapper ever. and dont say he's not unless you actually have a knowledge of rap! Biggie - died 13years ago last tuesday!
He was the REALEST rapper alive.. he actually did what he rapped unlike most others -
" In 1993, ODB was convicted of second degree assault for an attempted robbery and in 1994, he was shot in the abdomen following an argument with another rapper.
In 1997, he was arrested for failure to pay child support for three of his 13 children. His wife, Icelene Jones, claimed he had not paid any support in over a year.
In 1998, he pled guilty to attempted assault on his wife and was the victim of a home invasion robbery at his girlfriend's house. He was shot in the back and arm but the wounds were superficial.
In July 1998, only days after being shot in a push-in robbery at his girlfriend's house in Brooklyn, he was arrested for shoplifting a pair of $50 shoes from a Sneaker Stadium store in Virginia Beach, Virginia, although he was carrying close to $500 in cash at the time. He was issued bench warrants by the Virginia Beach Sheriffs Department to stand trial after he failed to appear in court numerous times. He was arrested for criminal threatening after a series of drunken confrontations in Los Angeles a few weeks later, and was then re-arrested for similar charges not long after that.
During a traffic stop, the details of which remain clouded in multiple versions of events, he was arrested for attempted murder and criminal weapon possession. The case was later dismissed.
In February 1999, he was arrested for driving without a license and for being a convicted felon wearing a bulletproof vest (the first person arrested for this infraction under a new California law). Back in New York weeks later, he was arrested for drug possession of crack cocaine and for traffic offenses. With multiple cases in the past and present, he was arrested with marijuana and 20 vials of crack. After his arrest, ODB reportedly asked the police to "make the rocks disappear". During a court hearing, he once called a female prosecutor a "sperm donor."[10]
This criminal record was commented on by Chris Rock in his 1999 spoken word song, "No Sex (In the Champagne Room)", with Rock asserting that "ODB couldn't've possibly committed all those crimes."
ODB entered rehab while still technically a fugitive from the law, but strange behavior during a subsequent court date sent him to jail for a brief period.
In October 2000, he escaped from his court-mandated drug treatment facility and spent one month as a fugitive. During his time on the run, he met with RZA and spent some time in their recording studio. He then appeared onstage at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York swigging a bottle at the record release party for The W, the third Wu-Tang Clan album. In late November 2000 while still on the lam, he was arrested outside a South Philadelphia McDonald's (at 29th and Gray's Ferry Ave.), after he drew a crowd while signing autographs. He spent a couple of days in a Philadelphia jail and was later extradited to New York City. A Manhattan court sentenced him to two to four years incarceration
"
real? i think so.. until he dropped dead in his stuido from a crack overdose :'(

| Currently, my favorite bands would be: Led Zeppelin, Rush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police, and Muse. I listen to a lot of older rock, but some modern as well. I've heard a ton of rap in my time too, and I have decided I simply don't like it (and I'm not talking just mainstream stuff). | |

If you talk about taste, I agree with you. But music, has any other discipline, is also defined with objective criterias.

Not sure I get what u mean. They are objective. You learn them, or not. Taste is something else.

| I see me and Beding both enjoy and our taste is 90% simular. There are many country singers who I enjoy, hard not too being brought up in the type of envirement I was, even ones envirement has alot to do with styles and kinds of music you had listen too, or hear and talked about. There are few soul groups from the 70's I like. I enjoy listening to great classical. Here a few bands I thought who had their own unique sound, | |
