Horrible, Horrible fighting by me. I didnt control my army well, didnt build up well after treaty all in all afterwards I felt like a conscript

Happens to everyone, everyone's had at least one game where they just played like crap.

UofA, I did not mean to imply that you played like crap at all or anything even close to that. Trust me. I just watched in awe as Sanderson said "Those natives ARE MINE!!!"

I've tried to play the Iros and have to tip my hat to the way you play them. You are really good too.

but I did play badly, and FIN played well.

I boomed pretty well with them, something like 2700 or so.

I think the thing with Iro is that you have to play them on a consistent basis to fight with them and do well. Their military is not easy to control at all and takes a lot of attention to manage everything. I havent really been playing with them a lot recently so I think my micro and overall management is way down with them.

Even when im not in the game with FIN at the end im always like "Wtf just happened...?"

Just a question uofa, seen quite a few of your iro games and this game you seemed to spam mantlets more than usual...
Was this a vs port thing or me just noticing it more in 1v1?

I havent played Iro in quite some time before this game so my whole army management was off. I probably made too many especially considering that they will get owned by halbs and hussars

man, me and sandy should have a matchup soon. rated im 0 for 2 unrated im 1-0 vs him. going to watch now.

I think I'm going to request a rematch. I know I can do a shit ton better with Iro I didn't do the civ justice

Maybe in a 1v1 game but not in a team game. There are several problems with using Iro in 1v1. They have to have wood to chop after 40 min which means they have to establish map control, but imo its hard for them to do this because their army needs fight together to be effective. Also, the space required for eco can be a huge problem with having an effective base. I can't spam a single unit to stop raids which goes to how its hard to establih a fb.

whats up with the mantlet laming, i know it kicks ass but wtf man. you didnt even upgrade inf. hp til end. seems lil backwards to me.

not really a gg. sandy is just a beast at flanking and other b.s. lol

you call yourself a good china player and think that ports beat them i really wouldnt give uofa iro advice either. i think id chalk this one up to being uofa v sand uofa plays very passively and i think in this mu the iro should go very aggressively at them, id say kill of 40 or so vills too to get some real pressure on him or to defend raids. all in all id rather see this game when uofa is back up to his normal speed with iro

Yeah I agree with what beef said, if you rush iro then it seems to me that they cant really get themselves back together as well as most other civs
....
and sandy is one hell of a pushing player with all civs...
lol combine tose two factors and not sure the result can go another way with the chosen civs...

Saying that...uofa is self admittedly rusty so if he gets back into touch will be good to see round 2 (or whatever round it will be ^^)

And the heavy cav of china are super good vs art/inf and can hold up against a large amount of ranged fire which allows the ckn to be free to snipe goons =\

port morters are the difference.

port mortars arent all that helpful when the army infront of them is getting thrashed buzz...
and chinas hand mortars do the job well enough in my experience as a noob china lamer

port mortars dont really make a difference unless its a fight into someones base, other than that theyre just really annoying. and theyre especially ineffective against china... you cant snipe out rax or stable theyre in one buildings and castles have more hp than art foundries.....sorry once again you prove you dont know shit about the game

hand morts are useless vs ports morts unless they become chinas front line. the morters are for killing the rax then china is nothing from behind thier walls. just keep mortering away from half way across the map lol.

Why do you think China became so popular and consequently called OP?
Its because it probably the only civ who is guarenteed to beat port lol...Iro do well vs them in team games (i think) but iro is too hard to play lol

And unless you plan to build 20 mortars buzz you wont be able to get all the rax/castles down fast enough to win...
China players are notorious for either building a shitload of walls (josh style ^^) or building a shitload of buildings...
They wont have them all in one spot...You will have to get within range of china mortars if you plan to get them all...
Mortars wont win you the game unless you can keep them alive...which you cant do vs china...

Thats disregarding ports army has no hope at all of standing against china army
