| Was a gg. I made a mistake and told ghostu to pick ottos. I thought bedding was german for some reason and he was spain and I didn't notice til age 5. I decided to go Butch vs Spain and hope Ghostu could push whip back with the natives. Unfortunately Butch can't beat spain +native.
What would've you guys done in this situation? Put Butch vs Spain + natives, or Ottos+natives vs Spain+natives.. I figure spain would just run over otto even if they had the natives. But after this, I'm not sure what the best match up would've been.
GG to all. |

Did you even watch the game and see what I fought? Spain + natives and I didn't use htem. You're clueless if you actually try to blame my distribution for the loss. I traded with 12 min left to go, which is pretty early for Brits. |

| It was a fun fight, and a decent peformance from Whip and I, I must say. From watching replays, tough, I noticed those key points:
-Ghostu's inabiliy to make valuable use of natives vs a port without natives (well done whip).
-Kerk's micro being much too slow (downside of cowing?). That, paired with a strategy that especially required good fight control (weakening eco, enlarging army) because relying on kill ratio, led him to failure to sustain the fight.
-Whiplash' facility for holding and pushing without natives on GhostU, who had natives with Ottoman being his best civ. Could have made better use of port mortars. Very disciplined and solid treaty preparation.

You're clueless if you actually try to blame my distribution for the loss. I traded with 12 min left to go, which is pretty early for Brits. did u not run out of resources as to why u resigned? did u have 28k wood extra? did u not ask ur ally for resources? would u not have liked to have an extra 14k on food and gold with facts on wood? i understand spain with natives is hard. but thats not the point im tryin to make clueless ftw apparently ps. i watched the game

ps. i watched the game I know you state this wasn't the point , but Spain with natives vs brit with nothing is a near impossible match up. He actually got fed before me. If he hadn't gotten fed I may have been able to hold out. His feeding allowed him to push me and melee me to death. lol i love how you like to criticize me for not having wood but wont say anything to sanderson for having 20k extra wood and being broke vs pi when they resigned. You underestimate the need for wood. Maybe you havent been in as many games as me when wood made the difference. |

| I use to think "oh wow" mega wood boom I am diff better off! But having great amount is nice, I realize my style of playing brits having 50k wood at 40 is plenty, it seem that i personally was having trouble maintaining food 15 min into the game with low vil count on pens. at 38 min I started to split 50/50 on farms and plantations and facts on wood and adjust accordingly to what resource is been used more. I dont use all longbows I split it up between them and musks, brits have the best european musks and with their range, hit points and hand to hand they diff come in handy. Most players will send calvery to take out lb's because they are easy prey to calvery, so musks are important for protection. I am not a big fan of what kerk calls the butch style of play, it be ok if you can win in a short period of time, but once your big score starts depleting its hard to rack it back up. I myself might go down to 80 vils giving me 120 military pop plus with cherokee with good micro should be plenty and still maintain eco. I would think if you micro time managerment into late game and if when your enemy eco is showing signs its become a prob if a larger army would suck up their resources then a sudden "butch" would I think work better in a late game than a starting game while their eco is also large as well. | |

| Since spain military is better than brits, I personally use alot more musks than lb's. I usually field much needed culs and cannons, goons and few lb;s and greater amount of musk. Spain players usually micro out lancers and swords, only cheap counter has to be musks in hand to hand, musks hell of alot cheaper to field compare to spains cost to do so. I think for brits to beat spain one has to keep spain military from maintaining full pop and win the cul war and to be able to disrupt by controling the flanks, keeping their missionarres away from military if possible. So if I can surround spain sides with control brits have a chance to beat them, if not bye bye brits. | |

You arent FIN kerk...Better get used to it... I never have once claimed to be a better player than Fin. I don't think in team games where we are both Brits, you would be able to tell the difference. Everyone know's hes the best TR 40 player for many reasons. I think your still sore that you still couldnt beat dread's ports (no natives ) with your otto+natives. You call me a one trick pony, but its better than being a no trick pony. You have whiplash's ego, but the skill of a 2nd lt. At least he's good though. You and me 1v1 anytime when you grow a pair and decide to play w/o an OP civ. |

| Hey, I was a captain for a long time til I started learning new civs and I play alot of games where i am stuck with less skilled players, plus i rather lose to a better player then beat a noob for points.
I have my good games and I have my bad ones, kerk don't dump on cmont over our match up, i just played great that game, he couldve beaten me, but just didn't happen that game. You can't win them all.
You can't knock him, he had natives plus you sent military as well and I still played well enough for the team to win, oh well. Its a team game after all.
you guys bicker over a game that was played to long.
oh by the way kerk, when I joined TRT the only civ I knew was brits. Then you would not have a chance against mine, we played alot of clan games back then and I was beating alot of the high ranks in the clan with my old brits. I was a more stronger player then then I am today, I think its because many players have gotten better faster than I have progressed.I forgot more over the year by not using them that you said you know today about brits, its easy if you play one civ alot to jell with them. When I first enter TRT, maybe 4 or 5 players in aoe played them alot. The only well known brit player I knew in the old days, was white Irish, Fin, Adrian and a few others and myself. Then it was Fin's, brids and my booms that players wanted to learn today more players has starting using brits after seeing their protential and how fun they were.Recently you and Fin has progress the brit boom to another level, I feel if i stayed only brits I would to be matching your booms, but I been learning all the civ's to become decent with them all.Today is another story i admit you became a great brit player, better than me, well done Since i do not use them often I only get 2300 to 2400 in game, good enough to start game with.

| man how times have changed. god, i remember having a blast on vent playing either rated or unrated games with the guys who were around 1+ year ago.
now these guys come into your clan and have all these blame game issues. its retarded. sure they seen the recordings and, sure, theve gotten better but wtf dudes. your ruining a good thing. ohhhh actually you allready have.
im not even in the clan anymore because i made the decision to leave when i saw how it was trending, but i still have an interest in the guys and the well being of stuff in general. it just disappoints me to see a good old thing go bad. |
