| well I'm thinking about trying out Aztecs. i did a practice boom and I'd like to know how i can improve. i have some questions too whats a realistic in game score for Aztecs at 40minutes? whats a good resource distribution at 40? whats a good allocation of villagers at 40? should i try to send the 10 villager card as soon as possible after i get to age 3 or should i wait until later? Aztec mining? here's a screenshot of my mediocre boom. and the recorded game's here and a shot of the deck i used thanks in advance for any comments, critique and advice | |

| I'm a lieut and this is the second time I've ever tried booming with Aztecs so obviously it needs work and is at a lower level than the civs i have experience with. for example i consistently hit 2100 in real games with Russia. i was hoping for some actual advice tho. | |

| i think u have too many people on gold with ur aztecs, u need more wood and food with them, and maybe u should take "3 priest card" at age 2. u actually miss 200 or 300 points at 40
about russia, try to hit 2200..

I truely hope visitors don't affiliate this sort of attittude with TRT. I for one feel this kind of immature, sarcastic response to a sincere request for advice and assistance has absolutely no place on these forums. Moderators owe it to the genuine users of this site, as well as this once great clan, to adapt a much less tolerant stance on this sort of needless, humourless drivel.

| ivan always so mean... Boom cards are always to be avoided, but three priests is in almost everyone's deck. Aztec need lots of different decks... one for aztec ally (no team priests or team vills) one for iro and sioux (team priests instead of 3 priest card, no team vills) and of course european civs should get team three vills (uofa also spoils people with team medicine which not many people find necessary) team wood is a good fist card in a team game. I'm not the best aztec boomer out there but I think I fight with them ok differing opinions? I'm gonna post all my first armies somewhere in a bit but here's the aztec: 8 ERK shipment, 18 jag shipment, 11 jags trained (to complete 50) one ERK trained (a brainer ) and I think 26 Skull knights to 199 pop... then 10 arrow shipment and the big buttons. Personally I don't use the big button for aztec pikemen, nor do I improve or use them. That is a personal preference and a huge over confidence on my ERK micro and jag training speed : ) Stealth the jags... kill walls with arrow and skull, kill enemy units with mace and ERK, slip jags in. Notice that 1st tc reveal jag stealth so avoid that. After that ERK is your best unit, mixed with ally armies, also arrows rock enemy cannons but you have to aim the all the time. | |

| You can still do 1900-2K with a good distrib without 3 priest, which is my personal preference for their boom because I like the War chief card that lets me train Jaguars.
Aim for about 60-70K food, 20-30K wood and 10-15K coin.
