| ok i lost alot at file den for some reason and had to re-do the dutch boom. basicly same score. this one is 6pts + yay. all upgrades are done at 40. this is no b.s for the haters.
just take a look and decide for yourself i guess. i know the "way" now, and it has nothing to do with the same things peeps thought in the past.
ENJOY, i did in making it for the community. |

It is in slow-mo, on a side note I took a stab at a Dutch boom more in tuur's style (slightly revised, but same core boom, without wood trade) and hit 1900, no I didn't waste 80 minutes doing it on slow-mo to get that. It's beyond boring booming for that long. Also, I think that for most civs the generally accepted build orders are best, perhaps with some minor alterations to improve them somewhat, but that the overall core of the strategies is usually sound. For example with Spain there's only really two strategies worth using for me: no trickle, 20 vill age 1 and trickle, 16 or 18 vill age 1 (18 you do 2 vill, 16 500 food). No matter which way you do it you hit around 1920-1950 in most games, sometimes 2K with trickle boom. You can alter some minor details to improve these booms but the core concept remains the same. Same applies for every civilisation, although I have created some whacky, insane strategies that have been successful. Then again, I never really thought about them beyond "I wonder what would happen if I did X with civ Y..."

| ya the replys are in slo mo, but I dont think ppl recorded them in slo mo. you can tell if its recorded in slo mo generally...
I think the difference is if you record a game vs a comp offline and if you record the game on eso vs a comp.. perhaps that makes the recording go fast or slow when others watch it.. I'm not sure though. |

| If I did slow-mo I could do over 2K with no wood trade... The problem is this was recorded in real slow mo, it plays back at only normal speed even on fast, where-as the slow-mo effect from comps will let you be slightly over real time on fast mode. Plus, slow-mo makes booming easier because your reaction times seem much faster when the game moves 2X slower, increasing your economy and buffing up the score without it actually mattering because you'd never hit 2K in a real game with lag and everything (even mild command lag lowers your boom).
The maximum possible score for a real game is likely 1.9K for Dutch.

LOL, you sure bout that boss? you saw my boom, it doesnt rely on anything but themselves basicly. 50 vills are quite easy to manage. also maybe you know or dont, but dutch vills are the worst for going idle while building stuff and once on a plant or mill from 20-40 min mark all on mills but still see idles. its just weird. |

| Yes, I am, no sane, usable boom will score over 1.9K in a real game, especially not in a 3v3. Your booms are all slow-mo and not the "graphics settings" (who knows what really causes that) kind of slow you get from boom's like tomo's, REAL slow mo, the kind that is half speed of a regular game. | |

| what was your score at the end with the "slow slow mo" boom?
and it plays at the same speed as your other booms... no slower

| theres only one thing that will have an affect that we havent talked about. "affinity" maybe its my comp being a quad core and the timing is affected when u play it.
i guess ill have to try and fix my comp to play the videos ok on your comp. lol
ill set it to 1 core and do it over and see if that helps.
ok haters? |

ok haters? Hmm I never thought about the possibility of a recorded game storing information in such a way that it's optimised to the processor/graphics card/etc of the system it's recorded on, interesting idea but I'd hope no company is dumb enough to do such a thing because it's completely impractical for the way gamers use recorded games.
